Your step up to classical playing – with a solid cedar top

The Valdez Mod. E is the ideal companion for anyone looking to grow beyond simple song accompaniment. While many beginner guitars in this price range rely on laminated tops, Spanish brand Valdez gives this model a solid cedar top. That provides the acoustic depth, fast response and dynamics you genuinely need to learn classical techniques and develop a nuanced tone.

A warm, balanced sound from fine tonewoods

The solid cedar top works together with a mahogany body to create a warm, rounded sound with a rich fundamental. A solid top opens up over the years and gains character and tonal richness the more you play it – a benefit laminated tops cannot offer. Built traditionally without a cutaway, the body delivers its full volume for powerful projection.

Quality details for clean, stable playing

The rosewood fingerboard and bridge give the Mod. E its coherent build. The cedar neck and nickel-plated tuners ensure a comfortable, secure playing feel. With a standard 65 cm scale length and a 52 mm nut width, the Mod. E sits exactly where a classical 4/4 guitar should.

Your benefits at a glance:

• Solid cedar top: a full, warm tone that matures with playing time – a real step beyond the beginner class.
• Coherent wood build: rosewood fingerboard and bridge plus a cedar neck for a comfortable, secure playing feel.
• Traditional construction: no cutaway, for full volume and powerful projection.
• Classical 4/4 measurements: 65 cm scale length and 52 mm nut width for authentic, clean classical playing.
• Elegant look: a natural satin finish that highlights and protects the natural grain of the woods.

Practical tip for beginners

The solid cedar top is the real step forward: it opens up over the years and gains character, whereas laminated tops stay where they are tonally. That makes the Mod. E a reliable working instrument for classical lessons and a solid entry into the world of solid-top guitars.
