The compact Classic models are built on the traditional compact-piano construction that Schimmel first patented back in the 1930s. Combined with the three-dimensionally crowned soundboard and the dynamic sound bar, this produces a surprisingly big, warm tone despite compact outer dimensions of just 121 × 150 × 59 cm — the energy flow is regulated across the full dynamic range, from a whispering pianissimo to a fully carrying forte.
