Soundboard and hammer action in the spirit of the CFX

The soundboard, made from carefully selected solid spruce, uses the same crown technology as Yamaha's flagship CFX concert grand – for a voluminous, carrying tone with fast response. The CX Series Special hammers are covered in high-quality Wurzen felt and precisely matched to the size of the instrument, giving you a richly nuanced touch from the softest pianissimo to a powerful fortissimo.

Precise keyboard and a full pedal set

The 88 keys with Ivorite surfaces (white) and WPC coverings (black) feel grippy and secure under your fingers. Three pedals – damper, sostenuto and una corda – open up the full expressive range of a classic concert grand. The V-Pro cast iron frame with four back posts additionally ensures stable tuning.
