Concert Grand Technology in an Upright Piano

The 88 keys are the longest in the entire Yamaha piano range and are fitted with Ivorite - a specially developed material that reproduces the grip and feel of real ivory. Hammers and felts follow the specification of the flagship Yamaha CFX concert grand, and the SU7 is the only Yamaha upright piano with agraffe guides for a precisely defined string length.

Full, Warm Sound and Sturdy Construction

A high-quality European spruce soundboard - the same material as in Yamaha's concert grand pianos - provides a dynamic, balanced tone. Six back posts give the body additional stability and durability, while the double-folding lid with concealed hinge creates an elegant, uncluttered look.

SH3 Silent System: Quiet Practice without Compromise

When you activate silent mode, optical sensors capture every nuance of your playing and reproduce the sound in high definition through headphones - the hammers do not touch the strings. 25 voices are available, first and foremost binaurally recorded samples of the Yamaha CFX concert grand and the Bösendorfer Imperial. With 256-note polyphony, 480 ensemble voices, 12 drum kits, 20 rhythm styles as well as Bluetooth and USB connectivity, the SU7 can be controlled conveniently from the control panel or the Yamaha Smart Pianist app.
