The Yamaha GB1K is the most compact grand piano in the Yamaha range, making it the ideal choice when space is limited but your expectations for sound are not. At just 151 cm in length, it fits comfortably into smaller living rooms, studios or teaching rooms while delivering the rich tone and elegant presence of a genuine grand piano.

Precise action on a stable cast frame

The frame is cast using the modern V-Pro vacuum shield mold process, resulting in a particularly stable, long-lasting construction, the foundation for lasting tuning stability. The Yamaha Balanced Action transfers every nuance of touch precisely to the strings, while the acrylic (white) and phenolic (black) key surfaces stay comfortable to play.

Thoughtful details for everyday use

The soft-close fallboard closes gently and quietly, and a safety stopper protects your fingers. The sostenuto pedal lets you sustain selected notes, while the damper and una corda pedals give you the instrument's full dynamic range. For quiet practice, the GB1K can optionally be fitted with the Yamaha SC3 Silent System.
