The Yamaha C3X in polished white is a grand piano from the CX Series that combines Japanese craftsmanship with the sound technology of the CFX concert grand. At a length of 186 cm, it delivers ample volume for a rich, singing tone – and thanks to the built-in SH3 Silent System, you can practise through headphones at any time without disturbing those around you.

CFX sound technology in every component

The solid spruce soundboard is built using the same crown construction technique as the flagship CFX concert grand, delivering a balanced sound with deep, resonant bass, a singing midrange and sparkling treble. The CX Series special hammer design and the sturdy V-Pro frame with four back posts transmit string tension precisely and contribute to the piano's rich tone.

Yamaha SH3 Silent System: concert grand sound through headphones

The SH3 Silent System uses binaural sampling of the CFX concert grand and offers 256-note polyphony for complex, multi-voice passages without dropouts. A continuous-detection grey-scale key sensor beneath every key captures your playing dynamics, while sustain sampling and damper resonance provide a natural, three-dimensional sound experience through headphones. A built-in metronome and motorised switching at the touch of a button make moving between acoustic and silent play effortless.
