The Yamaha C3X grand piano in elegant Polished Ebony is built for pianists who want a rich, singing tone combined with everyday flexibility. As part of the renowned CX Series, the C3X combines state-of-the-art manufacturing with the musical heritage of the Yamaha CFX concert grand – and, thanks to the built-in SH3 Silent system, adds the freedom to practise completely silently through headphones at any time.

Concert-hall tone at home

At the heart of the CX Series is Yamaha's refined soundboard crown, built on the same technology as the flagship CFX concert grand. From the C3X upward, the back posts are around 20% stronger than on the smaller models, giving the tone extra volume and projection. Specially developed piano strings and carefully voiced CX Series Special hammers produce a harmoniously resonant tone with a long, warm sustain.

Precise touch down to the finest detail

The 88 keys, with white Ivorite keytops and black WPC keytops, offer a pleasantly authentic touch, even during long practice sessions. The three pedals (damper, sostenuto, soft) allow for extremely fine dynamic shading, while the solid V-Pro frame, produced using vacuum casting, ensures lasting tuning stability.

Play silently, whenever you like

With the built-in Yamaha SH3 Silent system, the C3X turns into a silent practice instrument at any moment. Non-contact, inductive sensors on the hammers precisely capture every nuance of playing, from the gentlest legato to the fastest trill, without affecting the touch. 25 high-quality binaurally sampled voices, including the Yamaha CFX concert grand and the Bösendorfer Imperial, immerse you in a natural sound experience through headphones.
