The Kawai GL-30: concert grand sound in a compact footprint

The GL-30 brings the full, warm sound of a concert grand piano into your home at just 166 cm in length. As the entry model into Kawai's acclaimed GL series, it combines decades of piano-building craftsmanship with the latest action technology, ideal for dedicated amateur pianists, music schools, and anyone seeking an instrument built to last.

Millennium III action for a precise touch

At the heart of the GL-30 is the Millennium III action with ABS-Carbon: carbon fibres embedded in Kawai's patented ABS material give the action parts exceptional stability and dimensional accuracy, regardless of temperature and humidity changes. Combined with acrylic/phenol key surfaces and mahogany-core hammers with underfelt, the result is a touch that stays consistent for decades.

Rich tone from a solid soundboard and duplex scale

The solid, tapered spruce soundboard delivers a warm, resonant tone, while the duplex scale adds extra overtones in the treble for added brilliance and fullness in every note. The three-section frame and agraffes on keys 1 to 46 provide tuning stability and precise response across the entire keyboard.

Your benefits at a glance:

Consistent touch: Millennium III action with ABS-Carbon stays stable in any climate.
Full grand piano sound: solid spruce soundboard and duplex scale for warmth and brilliance.
Everyday comfort: adjustable music desk, slow-closing key cover, two lid props.
Expressive control: three pedals, including sostenuto, for fine dynamic nuance.
Long-term peace of mind: 5-year Kawai manufacturer warranty.
