Description
Description
The warm, deep recorder sound – Mollenhauer Canta for ensemble and solo
With the Mollenhauer 2406 Canta tenor recorder you add the pleasantly deep, warm voice of the tenor to your playing. From the Mollenhauer workshop in Fulda comes a series built for versatile music-making – in a recorder group, in an ensemble from soprano to great bass, or as a solo instrument. If you already play the soprano recorder, you will feel at home immediately: the fingerings and notation are identical, so there is nothing to relearn.
Pear wood for a clear, carrying tone
The three-part body of selected pear wood gives an easy response and a clear, rounded sound with a warm foundation. Pear wood is known for being especially hard-wearing and stable – together with the robust instrument concept of the Canta series, this makes for a reliable instrument for everyday practice.
Baroque fingering with double holes
The 2406 is built in baroque (English) fingering and fitted with double holes for the low semitones, which allows clean intonation in the lower register. As a straight tenor recorder without a bend and without a key, it speaks directly and stays comfortable to hold thanks to its slim, lightweight build.
Your benefits at a glance:
- Warm tenor sound: a deep, rounded voice to complement the soprano recorder.
- Seamless switch: fingerings and notation identical to the soprano recorder – no relearning.
- Robust pear wood: hard-wearing and stable, made for everyday use.
- Clean intonation: double holes for the low semitones in baroque fingering.
- Relaxed hold: light, slim build with balanced weight.
