Hammers built on the legacy of the CFX concert grand

For the CX Series, Yamaha completely redesigned the hammers, drawing on everything learned from developing the flagship CFX concert grand. The felt is individually matched to the size of the C7X, resulting in an expanded palette of tone colours – from brilliant attack to warm, singing depth – while preserving the distinctive CX sound character.

Hokkaido spruce soundboard and precision bridge construction

The soundboard is crafted from carefully selected spruce from Yamaha's own Kitami mill in Hokkaido and reinforced with spruce ribs. The two-piece separated bridge transmits string vibration to the soundboard with exceptional clarity, while the V-Pro cast frame ensures lasting tuning stability.
